Classic Daiquiri (White Rum, Lime, Simple Syrup)
Strawberry Daiquiri (Strawberry Purée Version)
Frozen Mango Daiquiri (Blended)
Tools & Finishing
Method
Classic Daiquiri (White Rum, Lime, Simple Syrup)
Prepare and Chill
Chill a coupe or cocktail glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
Add 2 oz white rum, 1 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.75 oz simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.
Fill the shaker with ice (about 6 oz by volume or enough to almost fill the shaker).
Shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is very cold and frosty; this both chills and dilutes the drink to balance flavors.
Discard ice or water from the chilled glass. Double strain the shaken mixture through the shaker’s strainer and a fine strainer into the chilled coupe to remove shards of ice and any pulp.
Garnish with a lime wheel or a lime twist and serve immediately.
Strawberry Daiquiri (Strawberry Purée Version)
If using fresh strawberries, hull and muddle or blitz 2–3 medium berries to make about 1 oz purée. If using commercial purée, measure 1 oz.
Add 1.75 oz white rum, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 oz strawberry purée, and 0.5 oz simple syrup into a shaker.
Add ice (about 6 oz) and shake vigorously 12–15 seconds until well chilled and the purée is fully integrated.
Double strain into a chilled coupe or small cocktail glass to remove seeds and pulp for a smooth texture.
Garnish with a sliced strawberry on the rim or a small slice floated on top.
Frozen Mango Daiquiri (Blended)
In a blender combine 1.5 oz white rum, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 1 cup mango purée or frozen mango, 0.5 oz simple syrup, and 1 cup crushed ice.
Pulse a few times to break up the ice, then blend on high for 15–30 seconds until smooth but still thick (adjust ice or purée to reach desired slush consistency).
Taste and adjust sweetness with an extra 0.25–0.5 oz simple syrup if needed.
Flight Presentation & Timing
Prepare the classic and strawberry daiquiris first (they are shaken and served cold) and set them on a tray. Prepare the frozen mango immediately before serving so it stays slushy.
Serve the three daiquiris together on a small wooden board or tray, arranged left to right: classic, strawberry, frozen mango. Provide a small tasting note card suggesting sip order (classic → strawberry → mango) so the palate progresses from clean and tart to fruity and sweet.
Recommend one small tasting portion per glass (about 3–4 oz each). If making full-size cocktails, scale ingredients proportionally.
