Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In a separate bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Milk

Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, mix in the milk and lemon zest.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  6. 6

    Add Blueberries

Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to break them.

  7. 7

    Bake the Cake

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool and Serve

Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Dust with confectioner's sugar before serving.
