‘Ose’ Brut Nature Rosé | Veneto | Italy

Place the bottle of ‘Ose’ Brut Nature Rosé in a refrigerator for at least 2–3 hours before serving, or in an ice bucket filled with ice and water for 20–30 minutes to bring it to an ideal serving temperature of 6–8°C (43–46°F).

Chill the bottle

Select clean flute or tulip-shaped sparkling wine glasses. Rinse briefly with cold water and drain to remove any residual odors and to keep the glass cool.

Prepare glassware

Wipe the bottle neck dry. Cut and remove the foil capsule beneath the lip. Loosen the wire cage while keeping your thumb over the cork to prevent premature pop.

Remove foil and cage

Hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle away from people and fragile objects. Keep one hand on the cork and slowly twist the bottle (not the cork), releasing pressure gradually until the cork eases out with a gentle sigh rather than a loud pop.

Open the bottle safely

Pour approximately 1–2 ounces (30–60 ml) into a glass for the host or sommelier to taste. Swirl gently and sniff to verify quality. If acceptable, proceed with serving.

First pour

Pour the wine into each glass, filling to about one-third full (around 3–4 ounces / 90–120 ml) to preserve the bubbles and concentrate the aromas. Tilt the glass slightly and pour down the side to maintain mousse and avoid excessive foam.

Serve

Appearance: Observe the rosé color and persistent fine bubbles indicating a delicate, well-made méthode or Charmat sparkling wine from Veneto.

Aroma: Swirl gently and inhale. Expect delicate red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), floral notes and subtle autolytic (brioche/yeasty) character depending on production method and lees contact.

Palate: Sip and allow the wine to spread across the palate. Note high acidity typical of Brut Nature (no dosage), bright fruit flavors, a dry finish and crisp mineral or saline undertones. Evaluate balance between fruit, acid and texture.

Food pairing: Pair with fresh seafood (oysters, shrimp crudo), light fish dishes, salty cured meats like prosciutto, or fresh cheeses (ricotta, burrata). Also excellent as an aperitif. Offer small bites alongside service and refresh plates as needed.

Reseal: If you have leftover wine, use a sparkling wine stopper and refrigerate upright. Brut Nature has no added dosage, so flavors remain bright; consume within 1–3 days for best effervescence.

Long-term storage: Store unopened bottles on their sides in a cool (12–15°C / 54–59°F), dark place with stable humidity and minimal vibration. Avoid strong odors near stored wine.
