Homemade Corn Chips
Toppings
Method
Preparing the Corn Chips
Fry the Tortillas
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Cut the corn tortillas into quarters. Once the oil is hot, fry the tortilla pieces in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
Assembling the Nachos
Layer the Ingredients
On a large serving platter, layer the homemade corn chips. Add a layer of black beans, followed by a generous sprinkle of cheddar cheese. Then, add the pico de gallo, sour cream, and jalapeños. Finally, top with your choice of protein (Picadillo a la Havana Style, Chicken, or Pork).
Final Touch
Serve
Serve immediately while the chips are warm and the cheese is melted. Enjoy your Havana Nachos!
