Method
Cocktail
- 1
Chill Glass
Place a martini/coupe glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure the glass is well chilled.
- 2
Add vodka (2 oz), apple sour liqueur (1 oz), triple sec (1/2 oz), and fresh lime juice (1/2 oz) into a cocktail shaker.
- 3
If you prefer a slightly sweeter martini, add simple syrup (1/4 oz). This is optional—taste preference varies with the apple liqueur's sweetness.
- 4
Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup), secure the lid, and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the drink is well chilled.
- 5
Discard ice water from the chilled glass (if used). Double-strain the cocktail into the chilled martini/coupe glass using a cocktail strainer and, if desired, a fine mesh strainer to catch any small ice shards or pulp.
Garnish & Serve
- 6
Garnish with a thin green apple slice or a small apple fan perched on the rim and a lime twist or wheel. If you prefer, rub the lime peel around the rim before placing the garnish to add an aromatic citrus note.
- 7
Serve immediately while cold. Optionally provide a cocktail pick for the apple slice and recommend sipping slowly to appreciate the balance of sweet-tart apple, citrus, and clean vodka.
