Method
Cocktail
- 1
Muddle blueberries
Place the fresh blueberries and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker or mixing glass. Using a muddler, press and crush the blueberries until they break down and release juice (about 15–20 seconds).
- 2
Build the cocktail
Add the blueberry vodka, Chambord, and fresh lemon juice to the shaker with the muddled blueberries. Add ice.
- 3
Shake
Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker becomes frosty and well chilled.
- 4
Double-strain
Place a fine mesh strainer over a chilled martini or coupe glass and strain the cocktail into the glass to remove blueberry solids and ice shards.
Finish
- 5
Top with Champagne
Gently top the strained cocktail with the chilled Champagne (about 2 oz). Pour slowly to preserve carbonation and create a light effervescence.
- 6
Garnish and serve
Garnish with a lemon twist or skewer 2–3 fresh blueberries on a cocktail pick and rest across the rim. Serve immediately.
