Method
Prepare Ladyfingers
Soak Ladyfingers
In a shallow dish, combine the brewed espresso and sugar, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Lay them in a single layer in a 9x13 inch dish.
Make Mascarpone Cream
Prepare the Cream
In a mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks and powdered sugar together until creamy. Add mascarpone cheese and vanilla extract, and mix until smooth. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until well combined.
Assemble Tiramisu
Layer the Tiramisu
Spread half of the mascarpone cream mixture over the soaked ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.
Finish and Chill
Chill and Serve
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
