For the Gyoza Filling
Method
To Prepare Gyoza
Make the Filling
In a large bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cabbage, green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
Fill the Gyoza Wrappers
Place a gyoza wrapper in the palm of your hand. Add about 1 teaspoon of filling to the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and pinch the edges together to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
Cook the Gyoza
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add a little oil to the skillet. Arrange gyoza in a single layer and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Carefully add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes until the water has evaporated and the gyoza are cooked through.
Serve
Remove gyoza from the skillet and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
