Method
Burger & Chips (serves 1)
- 1
Prepare fries
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) or follow package instructions for frozen fries. Spread 120 g frozen fries on a baking tray, drizzle 1 tsp vegetable oil, toss to coat, and arrange in a single layer. Bake for 12–18 minutes until golden and crisp, turning once halfway. Season with 0.25 tsp salt when hot.
- 2
Cook patty
While fries bake, form 4 oz ground beef into a 3–4 cm thick mini patty without overworking. Season both sides with 0.25 tsp salt and 0.125 tsp black pepper. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-high and add 1 tsp vegetable oil. Cook patty 3–4 minutes per side for medium doneness (adjust 1–2 minutes for more/less). If using cheese, place 0.5 slice on the patty in the last minute and cover to melt.

Nuggets (4) & Chips (serves 1)

Prepare fries
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) or follow package instructions. Spread 120 g frozen fries on a tray, brush or spray with a little oil (about 1 tsp), and bake 12–18 minutes until golden. Season with 0.25 tsp salt when hot.
- 5
Make nuggets
Cut 120 g chicken into four even nugget-sized pieces. Pat dry, then lightly toss each in 2 tsp flour seasoned with a pinch of salt and pepper. Dip pieces into 0.5 beaten egg, then coat evenly with 3 tbs breadcrumbs.
- 6
Cook nuggets
Heat 2 tbs vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the nuggets in a single layer and cook 3–4 minutes per side until golden and the internal temperature reaches 74°C (165°F). Drain on kitchen paper.

Lamb Meat & Chips (serves 1)
- 8
Prepare fries
Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F) or follow package instructions. Arrange 120 g frozen fries on a tray, coat with 1 tsp oil, and bake 12–18 minutes until crisp. Season with 0.25 tsp salt when hot.
- 9
Cook lamb
Heat 1 tsp olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add 120 g minced or small-diced lamb, sprinkle 0.25 tsp garlic powder, 0.125 tsp cumin, 0.25 tsp salt and 0.125 tsp pepper. Sauté for 5–7 minutes, breaking up mince, until browned and cooked through. Taste and adjust seasoning. If using diced lamb, cook until browned and tender, about 6–8 minutes.
- 10
Finish and serve: Transfer cooked lamb to a small plate and sprinkle 1 tsp chopped parsley if using. Serve alongside the hot fries.
