Method
Waffle Preparation
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well combined.
Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; it's okay if there are some lumps.
Preheat Waffle Iron
Preheat your waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Cook Waffles
Lightly grease the waffle iron with cooking spray or a little melted butter. Pour the batter onto the preheated waffle iron (enough to cover the surface) and close the lid. Cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually about 5-7 minutes, depending on your waffle iron.
Keep Warm
Once cooked, carefully remove the waffles and keep them warm in a low oven while you cook the remaining batter.
Toppings Preparation
Prepare Berries
Wash the mixed fresh berries under cold water and gently pat them dry with a paper towel.
Make Whipped Cream
In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Using an electric mixer, whip the cream until soft peaks form.
Assembly
Assemble Waffles
Place each waffle on a serving plate. Generously top with mixed fresh berries and a dollop of whipped cream.
