Cocktail

House Sour Mix (makes ~8 oz)

Method

House Sour Mix

1

Combine 1 cup fresh lime juice, 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice and 1 cup simple syrup in a jar or pitcher. Stir or shake until fully mixed. Chill in refrigerator. Yields about 8 oz; use 1 oz per cocktail.

Glass Prep

2

Run the lime wedge around the outer rim of a rocks or coupe glass to moisten it.

3

Pour the coarse salt onto a small plate. Tilt the glass and press the moistened rim into the salt to create an even salted rim. Tap out any excess salt.

Cocktail Assembly (Social Margarita)

4

Build & Shake

In a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup ice, 2 oz blanco tequila (or chosen agave spirit), 1 oz triple sec, 1 oz house sour mix, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice and 1/4 oz agave syrup (if using).

5

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until the shaker is cold and well-chilled.

6

Double-strain (optional) into the prepared salted-rim glass over fresh ice (for rocks) or serve up without ice in a chilled coupe.

7

Garnish with a lime wheel on the rim or floated on top.

Notes & Variations

8

For a smoky Social Margarita, substitute mezcal for tequila. For a lighter version, reduce tequila to 1.5 oz and increase house sour to 1.5 oz. Adjust agave syrup to taste if the sour mix is very tart.
