1

Prepare glass

Chill a Collins or highball glass by filling it with ice and setting aside while you mix the drink (about 2–3 minutes).

2

Mix base

In a cocktail shaker, add 2 oz Seedlip Notas de Agave, 2 oz fresh blood orange juice, 0.5 oz fresh lime juice, and 0.5 oz agave nectar. Add a handful of ice to the shaker (about 4–6 medium ice cubes).

3

Shake

Shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until the outside of the shaker is cold and slightly frosted. This both chills and slightly dilutes the mixture for balance.

4

Prepare glass for serving

Discard the ice used to chill the glass. Fill the chilled glass about two-thirds full with fresh ice (cubed).

5

Strain and top

Double-strain (fine or regular strainer) the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over fresh ice. Top with 2 oz chilled soda water and stir gently once or twice with a bar spoon to combine without flattening the fizz.

6

Garnish and finish

Garnish with a blood orange wheel and a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Optionally express a small twist of blood orange zest over the top for extra aroma and drop it in.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while carbonated. Recommended to enjoy within a few minutes to preserve effervescence.
