Cauliflower Wings
Method
Preparation
Prepare the Cauliflower
Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and set aside.
Make the Batter
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Gradually add water, whisking until smooth.
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
Batter the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, allowing excess to drip off.
Fry the Cauliflower
Carefully place the battered florets into the hot oil. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
Season and Serve
Toss the fried cauliflower wings in salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately with sweet chili sauce on the side.
