Stella Artois is a premium Belgian lager, renowned for its crisp, refreshing taste and delicate balance of malt sweetness and mild bitterness, making it the perfect companion for any occasion.

In a large pot, heat 24 cups of water to about 160°F (71°C). Add 6 cups of pale malt and 1 cup of caramel malt, stirring well. Maintain temperature for about 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, sparge the grains with hot water to collect the wort. Aim for about 6 gallons of wort in total.

Sparging

Bring the wort to a boil. Add 2 tbs of Saaz hops and boil for 60 minutes. After boiling, cool the wort quickly with a wort chiller.

Boiling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter. Add 1 tbs of lager yeast. Seal the fermenter and allow it to ferment for 1-2 weeks at around 50°F (10°C).

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, bottle the beer with priming sugar. Allow it to carbonate for about 2 weeks.

Chill the bottles and enjoy your homemade Stella Artois!
