Method
Preparing the Brownie Base
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
Mix Sugars and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Stir until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
Combine Dry Ingredients
In another bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
Add Chocolate Chips
Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
Bake the Brownies
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool and Cut
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cool, cut into squares.
Serving the Brownies
Plate the Brownies
Place a warm brownie square on each serving plate.
Add Ice Cream
Top each brownie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Drizzle with Chocolate Syrup
Drizzle chocolate syrup over the brownie and ice cream, if desired.
Serve Immediately
Enjoy your rich chocolate brownie served with vanilla ice cream while warm!
