1

Chill and fill glass

Choose a highball or Collins glass. Fill the glass with ice to chill it and create an even, cold dilution.

2

Measure whisky

Pour 2 oz Johnnie Walker Black Label over the ice.

3

Add lemon

Add 0.5 oz (about 1/2 tablespoon) freshly squeezed lemon juice to the glass. This adds bright acidity that balances the whisky.

4

Top with soda

Gently top the drink with approximately 4 oz chilled club soda. Pour slowly down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon to preserve carbonation and reduce over-dilution.

5

Stir lightly

Use a bar spoon to stir gently 4–6 strokes to combine the whisky, lemon, and soda without knocking out too much fizz.

6

Garnish and serve

Express the oils from a lemon peel over the drink by twisting it oil-side down, then run the peel around the rim and drop it in (or add a lemon wheel on the rim). Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer if desired.
