1

Prepare glass

Choose a highball or Collins glass (10–12 oz). Fill the glass with fresh ice cubes until nearly full (about 1 cup).

2

Add rum

Measure and pour 2 oz Ron Santiago de Cuba Añejo 8-year rum over the ice.

3

Add Coca-Cola Zero

Slowly top with 4 oz Coca-Cola Zero (pour over the back of a spoon if you prefer less agitation) to preserve carbonation and create a nice head.

4

Acid & balance

Cut half a fresh lime and squeeze the juice of 1/2 lime (about 1/2 oz) into the drink. Gently stir once or twice with a bar spoon to combine — avoid over-stirring which will flatten the soda.

5

Optional bitters

If using, add 1 dash of Angostura bitters on top for aromatic complexity; do not stir it in thoroughly.

6

Garnish & serve

Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge on the rim. Serve immediately with a straw if desired.
