Glass & Garnish

1

Prepare glass

Select a highball or Collins glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes to the top to chill the glass and provide adequate dilution control.

2

Use a vegetable peeler or mandoline to shave three long cucumber ribbons from the length of a cucumber. Reserve one thin cucumber wheel for the final garnish. Add the three ribbons into the glass, tucking them around the inside so they contact the ice and glass sides.

Cocktail Assembly

3

Add gin

Measure and pour 50 ml Hendrick's Gin over the ice and cucumber ribbons. Hendrick's floral and cucumber notes will begin to infuse with the ice and cucumber.

4

If using lime (optional)

If you prefer a touch of brightness, squeeze 1/4 of a fresh lime into the gin, discarding seeds, then give a gentle stir to incorporate. This step is optional; Hendrick's pairs well with cucumber without citrus.

5

Top with tonic

Slowly pour 120 ml Schweppes Indian Tonic Water down the inside of the glass (use the back of a spoon if desired) to preserve carbonation and create a clear layered look. Pour gently to avoid excessive foaming.

6

Finish & serve

Give the drink one gentle stir (2–3 rotations) to marry the gin and tonic without flattening the bubbles. Float the reserved thin cucumber wheel on top or attach it to the rim as a garnish. Serve immediately with a straw or stirrer if desired.
