Method
Prepare Herbal Infusion
Make the Herbal Infusion
In a small saucepan, add 1 cup of water, the dried lavender, and mint leaves. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Once simmering, reduce heat and let it steep for 10 minutes. Strain the infusion and let it cool.
Mixing the Drink
Combine Base Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the fresh cucumber (sliced), fresh lemon juice, elderflower syrup, and gin. Add the cooled herbal infusion and fill the shaker with ice.
Shake and Strain
Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds to combine and chill. Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.
Top with Tonic Water
Carefully pour the tonic water over the strained mixture in the glass. Stir gently to combine without losing the fizz.
Garnishing
Add Garnishes
Garnish the drink with edible flowers and a sprinkle of lemon zest on top for an aromatic finish.
