Fit Turkey Wrap

Brewed using American hallertau and spalt select hops. Straw colored, and lightly hopped. Very refreshing and light bodied.

Start by mashing the Pilsner and Carapils malts.

Mashing

Heat 5 gallons of water in a large pot to approximately 160°F (71°C). Add the crushed malts into the water and maintain a temperature of about 150°F (65°C) for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Sparging

Rinse the grains with hot water until you collect approximately 6.5 gallons of wort in your brew kettle.

Boiling

Once boiling, add 1 oz of American Hallertau hops and boil for 60 minutes. 15 minutes before the end of the boil, add 0.5 oz of Spalt Select hops.

Cooling Wort

Use a wort chiller or place the pot in an ice bath to bring the temperature down to around 70°F (21°C).

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermenter.

Fermentation

Pitch the yeast into the fermenter. Seal with an airlock and allow it to ferment in a cool, dark place for 2-3 weeks, or until fermentation is complete.

Prepare for bottling after fermentation is complete.

Bottling

Dissolve the priming sugar in a small amount of boiling water and add it to the beer. Carefully transfer the beer into sanitized bottles and cap them.

Carbonation

Store the bottles at room temperature for about 1-2 weeks before refrigerating them.

Once carbonated and chilled, your Sierra Nevada Pilsner is ready to be enjoyed!

Freshly harvested spruce tips from upstate NY give this beer a beautiful delicate piney flavor and Chinnok hops back up the evergreen flavor profile.

SX Spruce Tip Saison

Saison brewed with pilsner malt and flaked rice to lighten the body. New school german hop additions.
