Tea Preparation

    Boil Water

    In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boiling point over medium-high heat.

    Add Tea Leaves

    Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of black tea or green tea leaves. Stir gently.

    Steep

    Cover the pot and let the tea steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer the tea.

    Add Mint

    After steeping, add 1 cup of fresh mint leaves to the pot and let it sit for an additional 2-3 minutes.

    Strain

    Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the tea leaves and mint leaves.

Sweetening

    Add Sweetener (Optional)

    If desired, add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar or honey to the warm tea and stir until dissolved.

Serving

    Prepare Glasses

    Fill glasses with 2 cups of ice cubes.

    Pour Tea

    Pour the strained tea over the ice in the glasses.

    Garnish

    Add lemon slices on top or serve on the side for garnish.

    Serve the iced tea immediately and enjoy!
