Gather all ingredients and ensure that they are fresh and at room temperature.

Prepare Ingredients

In a large pot, bring 1 cup of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Boil Water

Once the water is boiling, stir in 1 cup of barley malt and 0.5 cup of corn. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

After 30 minutes, add 0.25 oz of hops to the mixture. Continue to simmer for an additional 15 minutes.

Add Hops

Remove the pot from heat and cool the mixture (now called wort) to room temperature. You can use a wort chiller or place the pot in an ice bath.

Cool the Wort

Once the wort is cooled, transfer it to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Sprinkle 0.25 oz of yeast over the wort and stir gently to combine.

Seal the fermentation vessel with an airlock and store it in a dark, cool place. Allow the beer to ferment for about 2 weeks.

Fermentation

After fermentation, dissolve 0.5 cup of priming sugar in 1 cup of boiling water. Add this mixture to your bottling bucket, then siphon the beer from the fermentation vessel into the bottling bucket. Bottle the beer and cap tightly.

Priming and Bottling

Let the bottled beer condition for another 2 weeks at room temperature to carbonate.

Conditioning

After conditioning, chill the beer in the refrigerator for a few hours. Serve cold and enjoy your homemade Budweiser Select 55!
