Our original Beck’s is a classic German lager beer with a distinctive full-bodied taste, fresh "hoppy" bouquet, golden color and full rich head.

In a large pot, heat 10 liters of water to approximately 65°C (149°F). Add 5 cups of Pilsner malt and 0.5 cups of caramel malt. Stir well and maintain the temperature for 60 minutes.

Mashing

After mashing, transfer the mixture to a lauter tun and allow the wort to drain. Rinse the grains with an additional 2 liters of hot water to extract more sugars.

Lautering

Bring the wort to a boil in a large kettle. Once boiling, add 0.5 cups of hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Boiling

After boiling, cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath until it reaches approximately 20°C (68°F).

Cooling

Transfer the cooled wort to a sanitized fermentation vessel. Add yeast and seal the vessel with an airlock. Allow it to ferment at a cool temperature (around 10-12°C or 50-54°F) for 1-2 weeks.

Fermentation

Once fermentation is complete, dissolve 0.5 cups of priming sugar in 2 cups of boiling water and add it to the beer. Transfer the beer into sanitized bottles, leaving some headspace, and cap them.

Bottling

Store the bottles in a dark, cool place for 2-3 weeks to carbonate. After conditioning, refrigerate the bottles before serving.
