Method
Preparation
Make the Marinade
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, hoisin sauce, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, five-spice powder, and chili flakes. Mix well until the honey is dissolved.
Marinate the Wings
Place the chicken wings in a large resealable bag or bowl and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Cooking
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
Bake the Wings
Remove the wings from the marinade and let any excess marinade drip off. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, turning halfway through, until the wings are crispy and cooked through.
Garnish and Serve
Once cooked, remove the wings from the oven and sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
