Bottled Water

Method

Bottled Water

1

Chill (optional)

If the bottle is not already cold, place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or on ice for 10–15 minutes until it reaches your desired temperature.

2

Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the bottle cap to avoid contamination.

3

If you plan to add ice, open the bottle by unscrewing the cap. Pour out a small sip (about 1–2 tablespoons) if needed to make room for ice without overflow, then add ice cubes to the bottle carefully.

4

If you prefer a light citrus flavor, squeeze the wedge of lemon or lime into the bottle (about 1/8–1/4 of the wedge) and drop the wedge in for extra aroma. Close the cap and gently invert the bottle once to mix.

5

If using a reusable straw, insert it now if the bottle opening comfortably fits the straw. If not, pour the water into a clean glass and add the straw there.

6

Secure the cap tightly after any additions to prevent spills. Hold the bottle upright and drink directly from it or pour into a clean glass. Discard ice and leftover citrus after finishing the bottle if not drinking immediately.

7

Recycle or properly dispose of the empty bottle and wash any reusable straw and the cap (if reusable) with warm, soapy water and air dry before next use.
