Method

Cooking the Chicken

1

Prepare the Chicken

In a large bowl, combine the sliced chicken breast with soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

2

Cook the Garlic and Chili

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sliced red chili. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

3

Add Chicken

Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and stir-fry for about 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and no longer pink.

4

Add Basil

Once the chicken is cooked, add the Thai basil leaves to the skillet. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the basil is wilted and fragrant.

Serving the Dish

5

Prepare the Rice

While the chicken is cooking, prepare steamed jasmine rice according to package instructions.

6

Plate the Dish

Serve the Thai basil chicken over a bed of steamed jasmine rice. Garnish with cucumber slices and lime wedges on the side.
