Po-Boy Ingredients

Method

Preparation and Assembly

  1. 1

    Prepare the Seafood

In a bowl, season the shrimp and oysters with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Dredging

Set up a dredging station with flour, beaten egg, and cornmeal. Dip the shrimp and oysters first in flour, then in egg, and finally coat with cornmeal.

  3. 3

    Frying

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, fry the shrimp and oysters in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Toast the Bread

Slice the French bread loaves lengthwise and lightly toast them in the oven or on a skillet until golden.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Po-Boys

Spread a generous amount of Signature Sauce on the inside of the toasted bread. Layer with shredded lettuce, sliced tomatoes, and the fried shrimp and/or oysters. Close the sandwich and serve immediately.
