Crab Trap Recipe
We let the crab shine in this one. Two scratch-made cakes dipped in buttermilk and lightly fried, served on a toasted bun with signature sauce.

Make the Crab Cakes
In a large bowl, combine crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and chopped green onions. Mix well.

Add Egg and Breadcrumbs
Fold in the beaten egg and bread crumbs until all ingredients are well combined. Form mixture into two equal patties.

Chill the Patties
Cover the patties and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them set.

Prepare the Signature Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, and hot sauce until smooth. Set aside.

Fry the Crab Cakes
Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Dip each crab cake in buttermilk, then carefully place in the hot oil. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

Assemble the Crab Trap
Place each fried crab cake on a toasted burger bun, drizzle with signature sauce, and serve immediately.
