Single Pour Liquor Spirits Grey Goose/Tito's, Hendricks/Tanqueray, Crown Royal, Jameson, Buffalo Trace, JWB, Bacardi/Captain Morgan, Don Julio Blanco, Domestic + Imported Beer, Wine, Prosecco

Chill bottles that are best served cold (vodka, gin, tequila, some white rum) in a cooler or refrigerated unit to around 4–8°C (40–46°F). Label each bottle clearly with the spirit name and ABV for guests and staff.

Fit measured pour spouts/speed pourers to each bottle intended for single pours. Test each pourer with a shot glass to confirm consistent 1 oz (30 ml) or 1.5 oz (45 ml) pours depending on your service plan.

Install pourers

Arrange bottles on the bar by category (vodka, gin, rum, tequila, whiskey/bourbon) and put high-demand bottles in easy reach. Keep backup bottles nearby but slightly behind the front line.

Positioning

Place domestic & imported beers in coolers with ice (ratio 2:1 ice to bottles) until chilled to serving temperature (4–6°C / 39–43°F). Chill Prosecco to 6–8°C (43–46°F). Rotate stock so older cans/bottles are used first.

Keep red wine at slightly below room temperature (14–18°C / 57–64°F) and white wine in chillers. Have a corkscrew available and open bottles as needed; present the bottle to host/guest when serving.

Arrange club soda, tonic, cola, ginger beer, juices, simple syrup and bitters behind the bar. Keep frequently used mixers in pump dispensers or labeled bottles for quick access.

Wash fresh fruit. Cut limes into wedges and halves, lemons into wedges, slice oranges into wheels. Place garnishes in shallow trays over ice or in refrigerated garnish wells to keep fresh. Muddle mint lightly and keep in a covered container.

Prepare garnishes

Keep ample ice trays/buckets accessible. Replenish ice frequently to ensure cold pours and chilled glassware. Lay out appropriate glassware (rocks, highball, wine, champagne flutes, beer glasses) and cocktail napkins.

If offering a few signature pre-batched drinks or punches, prepare them in advance using measured volumes (e.g., 1 L vodka + 2 L citrus mixer + 250 ml simple syrup = batch). Label with contents and alcohol percentage and refrigerate until service.

Train staff to check IDs, monitor guest intoxication, and refuse service when necessary. Keep water and nonalcoholic options visible. Maintain a log of bottles opened/used for inventory.

Responsible service

Assign a staff member to monitor bottle levels, ice, and mixers. Restock early to avoid service delays. Keep spare bottles in a cooler out of direct guest view but within quick reach of bartenders.
