Drink

Build the cocktail

Fill a rocks glass (or an Old Fashioned glass) with ice to the top. Pour 1 oz Campari over the ice, then add 1 oz sweet vermouth.

Top and stir

Pour about 2 oz chilled soda water gently over the back of a bar spoon (or directly) to top the drink. Using a bar spoon, give the drink 4–6 gentle stirs to integrate ingredients without flattening the soda.

Garnish and serve

Express the oils of an orange slice or twist over the surface, rub the peel on the rim if desired, then drop the slice or twist into the glass. Serve immediately with a short straw or without.
