Preparing the Batter

Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well mixed.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; some lumps are okay.
Cooking the Pancakes

Heat the Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease it with butter or oil.

Pour the Batter
Using a ladle or measuring cup, pour about 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.

Cook the Pancakes
Cook the pancakes until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

If you are making multiple pancakes, keep the cooked pancakes warm in a low oven while you finish cooking the rest.
