Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Peppers
Rinse the shishito peppers under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel. Ensure they are completely dry to achieve blistering.
- 2
Preheat the Pan
Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it is hot but not smoking.
Cooking
- 3
Blister the Peppers
Add the shishito peppers to the hot skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the peppers are blistered and charred on all sides.
- 4
Season the Peppers
Once the peppers are blistered, remove them from the heat. Immediately sprinkle the Tajin seasoning and sea salt over the hot peppers and toss to coat evenly.
Serving
- 5
Plate the Dish
Transfer the blistered shishito peppers to a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top for added flavor.
- 6
Add Toppings
Serve the peppers alongside salsa fresca and sprinkle chicharrón crunch on top or serve on the side for dipping.
