Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Prime Rib

Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Rub the prime rib roast with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Place it in a roasting pan.

2

Roast the Meat

Roast the prime rib in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare. Remove from the oven and let it rest.

3

Make the Au Jus

In a pot, bring the beef broth to a simmer. Once the prime rib has rested, add the drippings from the roasting pan to the broth and let it simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

4

Slice the Prime Rib

Slice the prime rib thinly against the grain.

5

Assemble the Sandwiches

Split the French rolls and layer slices of prime rib and Swiss cheese. Place them on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.

6

Serve

Serve the sandwiches with a small bowl of au jus for dipping. Garnish with fresh parsley.
