Cheese Mixture Preparation

Combine Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the fresh cheese curds, whole milk, heavy cream, salt, and honey. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Chill the Mixture
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, black pepper, and garlic powder until well combined.

Gradually add the cold water to the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth and slightly thickened.

Heat the Oil
In a deep pot or heavy skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a deep-fry thermometer for accuracy.

Fry the cheese curds for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
