Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Begin by gathering all the ingredients needed for the West 7th Burger.

  2. 2

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon slices until crispy. Remove from the skillet and let them drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Shape the Patties

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide it into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

In the same skillet used for the bacon (or a grill if preferred), cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

  5. 5

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  6. 6

    Prepare the Green Pepper

While the patties are cooking, slice the green bell pepper into thick wheels.

  7. 7

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each burger bun, place the patty with melted cheese, followed by 2 slices of cooked bacon, a tablespoon of BBQ sauce, and a green pepper wheel. Top with the other half of the bun.
