Bourbon Sauce

Prepare the Bourbon Sauce
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine bourbon, brown sugar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

Thicken the Sauce
Let the mixture simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until it thickens slightly. Remove from heat and set aside.

Prepare the Burger Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, bourbon, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently and form into 4 equal patties.

Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of smoked cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.
Burger Assembly

Assemble the Burger
On the bottom half of each burger bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, onion, and crispy bacon. Drizzle with bourbon sauce.

Complete the Burger
Top with the other half of the burger bun and serve immediately with extra bourbon sauce on the side.
