Steak Preparation

    Prepare the Steak

    Rub the steak with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

    Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

    Prepare the Bread

    Slice the sandwich rolls in half and lightly toast them if desired.

    Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the insides of the rolls. Layer lettuce, sliced tomatoes, thinly sliced red onion, and cheese on one half of each roll.
