Main Ingredients

Pasta (Optional)

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Pasta (Optional)

If serving with pasta, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Shrimp

Peel and devein the shrimp if not already done. Pat them dry with paper towels and season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Mince the Garlic

Finely mince the garlic cloves and set aside.

  4. 4

    Chop the Parsley

Roughly chop the parsley leaves and set aside for garnish.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Sauté the Garlic

In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

  2. 6

    Cook the Shrimp

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.

  3. 7

    Add White Wine

Pour in the white wine and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes until slightly reduced.

  4. 8

    Combine with Pasta (Optional)

If using spaghetti, add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together to coat the pasta in the sauce.

  5. 9

    Finish and Serve

Stir in the chopped parsley and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper. Serve immediately, garnishing with additional parsley if desired.
