Mix the Base Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, pour 2 oz of Irish whiskey, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of bitters.

Cover the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill the mixture thoroughly.
