Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breast into 1-inch cubes. This allows for even cooking and easy skewering.
- 2
Marinate (Optional)
In a bowl, mix olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, dried oregano, lemon juice, and honey. Add chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for more flavor.
- 3
Soak Skewers (if using wooden skewers)
If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes prior to grilling to prevent burning.
Grilling
- 4
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375°F to 450°F).
- 5
Assemble Skewers
Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- 6
Grill the Skewers
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 7
Rest and Serve
Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve warm, with your choice of dipping sauce or enjoy them plain.
