Method
Flatbread Preparation
- 1
Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and active dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Create a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 4
Let Dough Rise
Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 5
Preheat Oven
While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- 6
Shape Flatbread
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangular shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
Topping Assembly
- 7
Add Sauce
Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the rolled-out flatbread, leaving a small border around the edges.
- 8
Layer Toppings
Evenly distribute the pepperoni, cooked and crumbled Italian sausage, cooked bacon strips, and sliced ham over the sauce.
- 9
Add Cheese
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese generously over all the toppings.
- 10
Bake Flatbread
Transfer the flatbread to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the edges are golden brown.
- 11
Cool and Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm and enjoy!
