Base Spirits & Liqueurs

Juices & Mixer

Method

Build & Shake

1

Fill a cocktail shaker with ice to chill (about 3/4 full).

2

Add vanilla vodka (1.5 oz), melon liqueur (0.75 oz) and coconut rum (0.75 oz) to the shaker.

3

Pour in orange juice (2 oz) and pineapple juice (2 oz).

4

Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for 10–12 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

Serve & Garnish

5

Fill a highball or hurricane glass with fresh ice (about 1 cup).

6

Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass over the ice.

7

Slowly pour grenadine (0.25 oz) down the side of the glass or over the back of a spoon so it sinks and creates a 'shipwreck' layered sunrise effect at the bottom.

8

Garnish with an orange wheel or pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry on a pick. Serve with a straw and a stirrer so the guest can blend if desired.
