Method
Preparing the Fries
Fry the Potatoes
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F). Carefully add the frozen French fries in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Remove fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.
Making the Cheese Sauce
Prepare the Cheese Mixture
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the shredded cheddar cheese, cream cheese, and milk. Stir continuously until the cheeses are melted and the mixture is smooth. Add paprika, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix well to combine.
Assembling the Cheese Fries
Top the Fries
Place the fried French fries on a serving plate. Drizzle the warm cheese sauce generously over the fries, ensuring they are well-coated.
Garnishing
Add Final Touches
Sprinkle chopped green onions over the cheese fries and serve with sour cream on the side for dipping if desired.
