Preparation
Prepare the Glass
Rub the rim of a chilled glass with a lime wedge. Dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it evenly.
Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of tequila, 1 oz of lime juice, and 1 oz of triple sec.
Add Ice
Fill the shaker with ice, covering the liquid completely.
Shake Well
Seal the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and mix the ingredients.
Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into the prepared glass filled with fresh ice. Optionally garnish with a lime wedge.
