Strawberry Shake

Enjoy a creamy and refreshing regular-sized strawberry shake made with ripe strawberries and smooth vanilla ice cream.

Select ripe Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the vineyard, ensuring they are free from pests and disease. Harvest approximately 2 kg of grapes.

Harvesting Grapes

Crush the harvested grapes to release the juice. Use a grape crusher or do this by hand. Collect the juice in a fermentation vessel.

Crushing Grapes

Add 15 liters of water to the crushed grapes to dilute the mixture slightly and facilitate fermentation.

Adding Water

Sprinkle 15 grams of wine yeast over the mixture to initiate fermentation. Stir gently to incorporate the yeast.

Fermentation Setup

Dissolve 50 grams of sulfur dioxide in a small amount of water, then add it to the fermentation vessel to protect against unwanted bacteria.

Sulfur Dioxide Addition

Add 200 grams of sugar to the mixture to enhance sweetness and balance acidity. Stir until dissolved.

Sugar Addition

Cover the fermentation vessel with a clean cloth and store it in a cool, dark place. Allow fermentation to occur for 2-4 weeks, occasionally checking for bubble activity.

Fermentation Process

Once fermentation is complete, add 1 tsp of citrus zest and 1 cup of chopped tropical fruits (like pineapple and passion fruit) to infuse the wine with additional flavors.

Flavoring the Wine

If desired, add 1 tsp of floral extract (like elderflower) to the mixture for an aromatic touch.

Optional Floral Note

Let the mixture sit for an additional 2-3 days to allow the flavors to meld before filtering.

Maceration

Filter the wine through a fine mesh cloth or a wine filter to remove solids, ensuring a clear liquid.

Filtration

Transfer the filtered wine into sterilized bottles. Seal with corks and label them appropriately.
