Fit Turkey Wrap

An unfiltered light lager made with Saaz hops, premium German malts, and NH water. A serious beer that’s also seriously sessionable.

In a large brew kettle, add 5 liters of filtered water and heat to 160°F (70°C). Add the Pilsner and Carapils malts, stirring well to ensure no clumps. Maintain the temperature for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Mash the Grains

After mashing, drain the wort into a separate kettle, sparging with an additional 2 liters of hot water to extract maximum sugars from the grains.

Lauter the Wort

Bring the wort to a boil and then add the Saaz hops. Boil for 60 minutes, stirring occasionally. After 60 minutes, remove from heat and cool the wort quickly using a wort chiller or an ice bath.

Boil the Wort

Once the wort is cooled to about 70°F (21°C), transfer it to a sanitized fermenter. Add the lager yeast and seal with an airlock. Allow to ferment at a temperature of around 50°F (10°C) for about 2 weeks.

Ferment the Beer

After fermentation is complete, mix the priming sugar with a small amount of water and bring it to a boil to dissolve. Add this mixture to the beer before bottling to carbonate it. Transfer the beer into sanitized bottles, cap them, and let them sit for another 1-2 weeks for carbonation.
