Wine Making Process
Harvesting and Crushing Grapes
Begin by harvesting the Malbec grapes. Remove any stems and crush the grapes to release the juice.
Fermentation
In a fermentation vessel, combine the crushed grapes, water, sugar, and yeast. Stir gently to mix. Cover the vessel with a cloth or lid to let it breathe while preventing contamination.
Primary Fermentation
Allow the mixture to ferment at a controlled temperature (around 20-25°C) for about 7-10 days. Stir daily to ensure even fermentation.
Pressing
Once fermentation is complete, press the mixture to separate the liquid from the solids. Collect the liquid, which is now your wine.
Aging
Transfer the wine to a clean fermentation vessel (or barrel) and add oak chips if desired for flavor. Let it age for at least 3-6 months.
Bottling
After aging, filter the wine into bottles and seal them. Store in a cool, dark place.
