Method
Bottled Water - Single Serving
Open bottle
Wash your hands. Remove any cap seal from the bottled water and twist off the cap, or peel back the foil seal if present. Inspect the bottle mouth to ensure it is clean.
Optional chill or add ice
If you prefer colder water and the bottle is at room temperature, either place the unopened bottle in a refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or open the bottle and add the optional 3 ice cubes into a glass. If using ice, decant water into the glass before adding garnish.
Bottled Water - Storage and Safety
Storage: Unopened bottled water can be stored at room temperature in a cool, dark place. Once opened, use within 24–48 hours for best taste if kept refrigerated; otherwise, consume promptly. Keep cap on when not drinking to avoid contamination.
Disposal and recycling: Replace the cap and recycle the plastic bottle according to local recycling guidelines, or clean and reuse if the bottle is designed for reuse. Do not refill a single-use disposable bottle for long-term use to avoid degradation and bacterial growth.
