Eggs in Marinara

Method

Cooking the Marinara and Eggs

1

Prepare the Marinara

In a large skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and crushed red chilies, sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

2

Add Marinara Sauce

Pour in the marinara sauce and bring to a simmer. Allow it to cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3

Poach the Eggs

Create small wells in the sauce and gently crack the eggs into the wells. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the eggs are poached to your desired doneness.

4

Add Cheese and Herbs

Sprinkle the grated Reggiano cheese and fresh herbs over the top. Cover and let it cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese melts.

Preparing the Garlic Styx

5

Prepare the Garlic Styx

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Brush the breadsticks with extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.

6

Bake

Place the breadsticks on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden and crispy.
