Method

Prepare Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Pat the rib eye steaks dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then generously season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.

  2. 2

    Rest the Steak

Let the seasoned steaks sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow flavors to penetrate.

Cook Steak

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill or skillet over high heat for about 10 minutes until very hot.

  2. 4

    Grill the Steak

Place the steaks on the grill. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare. Adjust time for desired doneness.

  3. 5

    Add Rosemary

During the last minute of cooking, add fresh rosemary on top of the steaks for added flavor.

  4. 6

    Rest the Steaks

Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Prepare Sides

  1. 7

    Sauté Asparagus and Tomatoes

In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Add cherry tomatoes and cook until they start to blister.

  2. 8

    Finish with Lemon

Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the sautéed vegetables before serving.

Serve

  1. 9

    Plating

Slice the rested rib eye steaks and serve them alongside the sautéed asparagus and tomatoes. Enjoy your meal!
